OTHER CIVIL LITIGATION

"Civil litigation" refers to legal proceedings to recover monetary compensation from another person or company (or sometimes to get an injunction to stop a person or company from doing something) , as opposed to criminal matters where someone is charged with a misdemeanor or felony crime.

Civil litigation includes matters arising from personal injury or wrongful death, property damage, and fraud or misrepresentation. There are also other types of civil litigation, one of the most common being legal proceedings arising from breach of a contract.
