Liz Seif has practiced law in Kentucky since 1998. She is an experienced trial lawyer, negotiator, and counselor.
She has successfully represented many clients in claims arising from injuries and deaths, including those caused by negligent drivers, falls, defective products, medical malpractice, and other kinds of negligence.
Ms. Seif also has significant experience representing physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other medical care providers who have been sued for medical malpractice. In a period of about a year, she was co-lead counsel in five medical malpractice trials. In all of them, the jury found for her clients, the medical care providers.
Ms. Seif also helps people plan for the end of their lives through the preparation of wills, durable powers of attorney, living wills, trusts, and other documents.
She also assists professionals and small business owners with business formation, contracts, employment issues, and other matters.
Ms. Seif's experience also includes handling many appeals, including conducting a number of oral arguments before the Court of Appeals of Kentucky, the Supreme Court of Kentucky, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Ms. Seif is a native of Lexington, Kentucky and a 1975 graduate of Lafayette High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky, graduating summa cum laude, in 1995. She then attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree in 1998 in the top ten percent of her class. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Law Journal in 1997-98 and won the Kentucky Bar Association Student Writing Competition in 1997.
